Stheno was brewed with a base of Golden Promise pale barley malt and a touch of flaked rice. It was hopped early and often in the kettle with Centennial, Chinook, Amarillo, and Simcoe.
Stheno was fermented nice and dry with an old Newark ale yeast strain and then dry hopped aggressively with Centennial, Amarillo, and Simcoe.
You can expect potent aromas of Pacific Northwest hops, pronounced bitterness, and a dry finish that lingers with spicy, citrusy, and piney hop flavors.
We get notes of coniferous forest, citrone zest, grapefruit pith, dank, sticky pine, pungent earthy spice, juniper, and tangerine peel.
